Description: Join us for a Lunch and Learn featuring a visit to the City of Fort Lauderdale, where attendees will have the opportunity to hear Dr. Nancy Gassman discuss her career path, how she became the City’s Chief Resilience Officer, and the scope of her role in leading resilience and sustainability initiatives for the City. Dr. Gassman will also speak about the impacts that King Tides have on the community, and how sea level rise and storm events are affecting infrastructure, neighborhoods, and daily operations throughout Fort Lauderdale. A site visit to the City’s Riverwalk (within walking distance) will provide an opportunity to observe firsthand the relevant urban resilience conditions present in the area. We will make time for networking as well! This is a limited attendance event that will be on a first come first serve basis with a waitlist.
Additional Information: We will meet in the 11th Floor Conference Room in the 101 Building (101 NE 3rd Ave; aka The Uniform Advantage Bldg) Metered parking is available on the first floor of the City Hall Garage. This parking lot is to the west of the 101 Building. Please do not park in the 101 building parking garage.
