The South Florida Water Management District is seeking candidates for the Chief of District Resiliency (CDR). The CDR will lead the District to prepare for the environmental, physical and economic impacts of climate change, especially sea level rise. Reporting to the Assistant Executive Director, the CDR will work with staff within the District as well as local government and other state agencies to develop and coordinate the implementation of comprehensive District wide resilience goals to mitigate and adapt to the challenges facing the District’s infrastructure and core functions from climate change. The CDR will implement a synergistic approach to resilience planning among government agencies, local communities, and stakeholders to ensure that resources are leveraged appropriately to achieve resilience goals. The ideal candidate will possess discipline-specific knowledge, leadership, communication and business skills to identify environmental threats and promote resolution through working closely with stakeholders, the public, and government leaders. Job posting
