This is senior level professional scientific work independently performing project coordination, research, analysis, and preparation of technical publications. Provides scientific oversight and direction to Minimum Flows and Levels (MFLs) applied research efforts designed to refine or improve MFLs assumptions, criteria, defensibility and rule language; Assists Technical Program Manager in the design, planning and oversight of applied projects to refine MFLs methodology and ensure MFLs compliance (e.g., assisting with setting up biomonitoring program); Assists with liaison role between the MFLs program and various other programs and initiatives (e.g., with Regulatory and Water Supply Planning staff); Analyzes, interprets and documents the results of the MFLs projects and other assigned high priority projects and programs; Develops technical publications (technical reports and scientific papers) documenting MFLs concepts, scientific assumptions, applications, and findings.
